This Privacy Policy applies to the Lawyer Diary mobile application (“Application”) developed by Generation Next (“Service Provider”) as a free service. The Application is intended to help legal professionals manage and organize their case data securely on their devices.
By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. The App is provided “AS IS”.
We do not collect or sell your personal data to our servers. Your ledger data is stored locally on your device unless you export it yourself. Permissions (Contacts, Storage, Notifications, Alarms, etc.) are used strictly to provide app features like client import, reminders, and backup/restore. “All files access” (Android 11+) is used only to read/write user-initiated backups from legacy/custom folders when restoring data. New features such as themes, transfer transactions, favorites list, advanced filtering, and Google Drive backup are designed to enhance your app experience while keeping your data local and secure.
The Application does not require you to create an account and does not automatically collect any personally identifiable information. All data you enter—such as case details, court names, case types, disposed cases, steps, reminders, and notes—remains stored locally on your device.
The Application may collect limited, non-personal diagnostic information such as:
The Lawyer Diary app allows users to:
The App requests permissions only to enable specific, user-visible features:
Some users have older backups saved outside the Application’s private storage (e.g., root “Download” folder). To restore such backups, the Application may request temporary, user-initiated access to read your selected backup file and write restored data. We limit operations strictly to the files and folders you select and do not browse or modify unrelated device files. Whenever possible, the App uses Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF) and app-specific directories.
You can export your case data (e.g., PDF, CSV) and create backups to any location you choose, including Google Drive or device folders. The App reads and writes only the files you select. We do not receive copies of your backups unless you explicitly send them to us for support purposes.
The Application may rely on platform services and libraries such as Flutter, Android components, and Google Play Services. These may collect limited technical data as governed by their own Privacy Policies:
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it immediately.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard data processed by the Application. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage users to secure their devices with a screen lock or encryption and to store backups in trusted locations.
You can stop all processing by uninstalling the Application. You can also revoke granted permissions (like file access) from your device settings—note that some features may not work without the respective permissions.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
